video
I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to post but I have had alot of personal issues that caused my condition to act up.
I've been having severe panic attacks but my doctors say that I can learn to control them and I believe that I can. I never had one at the theatre though, being at the theatre gave me a place to go to not have to think of my problems.
I wish to step out on my own though and help those that have more of a chance at theatre then I do.
If I donate my paintings to help nonprofit theatres they can do the same thing for children in need as they did for me.
If I help causes it can help them pay for the research needed to do procedures like the one that helped save me. The sooner that happens the less people will have to go through what I did with years of pain.

I've decided that instead of going to collage, which many of you know was a dream of mine. I will try to help by donating my paintings when I can.
I just need to find different health auctions to help me with that because anyone who knows me knows that I can't afford a gallery of my own. Although that would be ideal seeing as how I can't drive and could spend all day there, either painting, answering the phone or helping someone that came to visit.
In the meantime I'll just do what I normally do and paint with what I can.

Long time no post!

Sorry for my taking so long to post! I have been having computer problems!!! Am still having them but figure that I'll try this once and see if it works. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...
I have great news! I'm going to be in a market this weekend plus I'm going to be one of the artist's in a show on the 28th! I'm fixing 20 of my works to put in it. I'm donating the works to the Epilepsy Foundation. Which if you know me, means alot to me! That's what I've wanted to do for awhile now! I want to help alot of causes and nonprofits but epilepsy is near and dear to my heart. I have up to 20 or so works that I'll be showing. I'm going to try to add them here for you all to see. :) Let me know what you think.

More can be seen on my fan page that is on facebook. Just look up angelasartarea!
I hope that you like these!
Hope that everyone is doing well. Haven't been blogging in awhile...computers been messing up and I can swear that someone's still messing with it.
I will still try to say hi to you all now and again.
Thanks for visiting!

Interview with Violette Clark!

1.) Where is your favorite place of inspiration? If it's not a place and a person, who?

Oh gosh.....my favourite place of inspiration is the Magic Cottage - my little home. It's full of juicy colours, inspiring words, art and things that motivate me and make me happy. I also have tons of books on arts and crafts as well as numerous magazines - paperarts magazines mostly which are a constant stream of inspiration! Usually i can't wait to come back home (from wherever i've been) and fill my cup once again.

2.)I know that you often use very bright and joyful colors in your work. Can you name the reasons why for us?

Interesting question Angela! Well I think part of the reason why I use bright joyful colours is because of my background. I'm Spanish, born in Morocco and have a fascination for anything exotic. The Spanish love colour and pattern and if you study Moroccan culture at all you will see that it's full of wonderful pattern's and a palate of saturated colours! Whenever I have travelled to exotic places like my homeland Morocco, or Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, New Mexico, Italy, France it's fuelled and inspired my work. Saturated colours really get me all jazzed up - make me happy and want to jump for joy! I guess it's like someone loving anything vintage - that makes them happy. For me it's colour and pattern.

3.)I personally find giving a way to heal and I found that with your help. What would you say to those that do not understand how giving is also a way to heal the heart?

I know that this question is dear to your heart Angela. Well that's a tough one - I mean if folks are hell bent on being against giving as a way of healing and sharing your spirit with the world you may not change their minds. But I really feel that the best way to prove a point is to BE who you truly are - to live your truth and demonstrate that you are happy sharing and healing along the way. Your elevated spirit, your happiness is a very good indicator that something you are doing is going well. I would just say point blank "Can you not see how much JOY this is bringing me? Can you not see that I am happier when I give? I am a living breathing example that giving is good for the heart and soul! I would appreciate your support!" After that there is not much else you can do but hope to heck that they "get it". If they don't "get it" then simply go out into the world and be YOU totally and completely. I feel that's the best thing you can do. You came into the world to be YOURSELF!

I would like to share a painting that I made with you all...
When I was back-stage during the Hobbit I drew alot of little faces. You wouldn't believe how many kids came up to me. Ohhh can I see that one, Ohhh those are so beautiful! I just think that's too kewl. Anyhoo...that's what this painting is based on and also the circles in it stand for time. In time I may be better and feel comfortable as they all do. So that's what this painting is about now let me show it to ya...lolol I'm getting carried away here.

This is the very start of it.

More color.....

This is the finished painting!Lots of color, fun and smiles! Which the theatre was!!! Of course with my not being in public very often I wasn't used to it and kinda uptight but it was great to be around and hopfully one day I'll loosen up!It's acrylic and 16"X20"

These are some of the Valentine Jewelry that I have been working on. Please note that I will try and make more before the market.

Valentines Day and what I have not gotten to.

I'm so sorry for my taking so long to post you all.I've been busy with show dates and alot going on in my personal life. The last post was a giveaway because I wanted to be a part of it and give something to someone. I was an elf in the Hobbit a musical and here are some pictures from it.
Here is a table of props. I got to work help them out from time to time back-stage! It was great just watching them as well. I feel like singing "Memory" from Cats! ;)

This next one is the dragon. I did not paint it or create it but I did get to put some of the jewels on it!!! That was loads of fun! :)

This is the backdrop etc. I did NOT make any of these!!! I just took this picture because I wanted to share it with you all. I don't remember names or I'd name people for you.

This is a picture of my father and myself. Dad was Gandolf in it and the dragons voice, I was an elf.

This is a picture that we took when my mom and brother came to the show. My Aunt came to the show too but didn't really want her picture taken.I have to say something about my dad's wand/staff...is it a wand or a staff? Anyway, it glows and was really kewl! It was really fun to dress up and work with my dad!

Please note this post is so long because I am making up for lost time. I've been working on these for awhile. Anyhoo....I've been selling my art at a market. Giving 50% of what I make to the local support groups and the buttons that Waring Jackson makes I send any money for those to the Brain Injury Association of Georgia. They have given me permission to use their logo. Which is really kewl! I can help people!!!
I am going to share with you pictures of the jewelry that I made for the market coming up! I'll post pictures from that market promise!

I will add more as I make more, for right now I believe that is enough. I have to make more for the 14th though. The more I sell, the more money that the local Brain Injury support groups will have.
